I have learned about 180 kanji over the past three weeks. I have another 3300 to go.
3300 seems like such a large number, and like it's so far away. 3300. Four digits, and it's a number that doesn't even start with a 1. I've been learning 10 kanji a day for three weeks now and slowly eroding at that number. If I keep up this pace, I'll be done by this time next year. I'm already about 5% through all the kanji I have to learn. But it's still such a large, imposing number, looming over my learning and mocking me with its might and terrifying me.
I just have to take it one kanji at a time.
